Senior Officer – FABS Operations

About the role

The Senior Officer, FABS Operations is responsible for executing operational activities in line with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and regulatory requirements. The role ensures timely receipt of securities and cash, manages trade administration, settlements and fund transfers, and identifies operational risks arising from daily security and cash functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor controls and procedures to mitigate business and operational risk across brokerage operations.
• Oversee settlements, trade confirmations and reconciliation of client portfolios on a T+0 basis.
• Prepare, analyse and review weekly/monthly reconciliations, corporate actions and regulatory reports.
• Update client and trading information in the brokerage system and ensure accurate linkage with bank accounts for settlement.
• Monitor margin coverage, risk ratings and FATCA documentation, escalating critical issues as needed.
• Participate in departmental projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in brokerage, equity, investment or financial markets.
• In‑depth understanding of SCA regulations and local/international market rules.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and adapt working hours to meet operational demands.
