Senior Officer – Model Risk & IFRS9

About the role

Nair Systems is seeking a Senior Officer to lead model risk management and IFRS9 implementation for its UAE operations. The role involves overseeing the end‑to‑end credit risk modelling lifecycle and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement IFRS9 and AIRB compliant credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD).
• Monitor and validate credit risk models in line with Basel and other regulatory guidelines.
• Develop application, behavioural and collections scorecards as well as macro‑economic default models using regression, CHAID segmentation and cluster analysis.
• Extract and transform data from databases using SQL and BO Reports for analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk, financial services or quantitative modelling.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, R, SAS, SQL, Excel with VBA.
• Data extraction and reporting tools: BO Reports.
• Modelling techniques: Linear & Logistic Regression, CHAID segmentation, PD/LGD/EAD modelling.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS9 regulations and ECL calculation.
