Senior Oracle DBA – Technology Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support technology projects across our enterprise environment in Dubai. The role combines deep Oracle DBA expertise with a passion for automating routine tasks using modern DevOps tools.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle databases, including RAC and Data Guard.
• Manage database operations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS.
• Monitor and maintain databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Perform backup and recovery activities with RMAN.
• Execute database patching, migrations and performance tuning.
• Automate repetitive DBA tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and Groovy.
• Provide project and operational support, including occasional out‑of‑hours and weekend duties.

Required profile

• 8+ years of Oracle database engineering experience in large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Enterprise Manager and RMAN.
• Hands‑on experience with OCI and AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with Agile working practices and relevant professional certifications (desirable).
