Senior Pediatric Emergency Consultant – Government Hospital

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join a leading government healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high‑quality emergency care to infants, children, and adolescents while providing clinical leadership and supporting education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform senior‑level assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of pediatric emergency cases.
• Lead resuscitation and emergency procedures for critically ill and trauma patients.
• Maintain patient safety, quality of care, and clinical governance standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, surgery, anesthesia, and intensive care.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior physicians, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in teaching, continuing medical education, clinical audits, research, and quality‑improvement projects.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS) from an accredited institution.
• American Board Certification in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Completed accredited residency/fellowship in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑specialty clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary‑care or teaching hospital.
• Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision‑making abilities.
