Senior Planning Manager

About the role

The Senior Planning Manager will lead the planning, scheduling and control of railway projects from contract award through to revenue operation. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure that all design, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities are aligned with Hafeet Rail’s standards and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and approve contractor baseline and detailed schedules against the master project schedule.
• Maintain and update the company’s Primavera P6 database, master project and stakeholder schedules.
• Prepare internal schedules for railway project activities and support on‑site teams to meet deliverables.
• Monitor program control activities, including document control, performance reporting, cost & scheduling, change management and contract administration.
• Track contractor and subcontractor progress, facilitate on‑site progress meetings and resolve impediments.
• Conduct on‑site visits to verify work status and ensure alignment with reported progress.
• Lead forensic scheduling analysis for claims, variation orders and other complex issues.
• Create tailored project status reports for executives, managers and field supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in railway or large‑scale infrastructure project planning and control.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary schedules using Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, change management and risk analysis in rail projects.
• Excellent analytical skills with a track record of resolving schedule‑related claims.
• Ability to communicate complex schedule information to diverse audiences.
