Senior Project Engineer Minor Scheme

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer – Minor Scheme will lead the planning, execution and hand‑over of multi‑disciplinary projects within ADNOC’s oil production portfolio. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create acquisition requests and prepare related documentation.
• Develop contracting strategies, including EPC vs. PC recommendations.
• Define project scope of work in line with approved engineering packages.
• Review budget estimates, align them with contractor quotations and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Handle technical queries from contractors in coordination with engineering teams.
• Participate in tender evaluations and assess technical merits of bids.
• Conduct site visits to verify work magnitude and interaction with existing facilities.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies with site teams.
• Monitor and report progress on scope, schedule, cost, quality and earned value.
• Manage change orders, contractor claims, variation requests and obtain required approvals.
• Maintain the project risk register and escalate high‑impact risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑disciplinary projects from inception to commissioning.
• Ability to develop contracting strategies and detailed scopes of work.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control and earned‑value management.
• Experience reviewing technical queries and coordinating with engineering teams.
• Familiarity with tender evaluation processes and contractor liaison.
• Capability to monitor project performance and manage change orders and risks.
