Senior Project Manager – Design

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Design) to lead medium‑size design projects or multiple smaller initiatives in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and in line with contractual obligations while fostering strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of design projects, defining scope, budgets, schedules and resource plans.
• Act as primary client liaison, ensuring expectations and deliverables are met.
• Monitor performance, budgets and schedules; implement corrective actions for risks and challenges.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, vendors and procurement activities.
• Oversee project staffing, team development, performance management and mentoring.
• Manage project controls including risk, change and recovery strategies.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, security, contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Handle documentation, reporting, change control and contract variations, negotiating scope changes as needed.
• Chair project meetings, provide progress updates to stakeholders and maintain accurate records.
• Support business development by identifying additional service opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
• Review bid documents and assist with procurement and tendering activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading medium‑size projects or several small projects to successful completion.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and performance‑management capabilities.
• Excellent client‑relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
