Senior Project Manager – Site

About the role

GHD is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead site‑based projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the day‑to‑day delivery of consultancy services, managing resources, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary GHD representative with clients and subcontractors during program execution, interfacing with senior management.
• Negotiate scope changes, secure additional work, and follow up on project instructions and commitments.
• Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans, Health & Safety Plans, and Quality Assurance/Control documentation.
• Plan, direct, supervise and control all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned project.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers and discipline leads to create budgets, schedules and execution plans.
• Monitor progress, report milestones, manage change orders and address cost overruns or schedule delays.
• Lead weekly project status meetings and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction or engineering projects.
• Strong ability to negotiate with clients, subcontractors and regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrated competence in resource and workload planning, KPI tracking and delivering on contractual commitments.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with senior management and multidisciplinary teams.
