Senior Quantity Surveyor – Commercial & Cost Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial, cost management and quantity surveying expertise for fit‑out and development projects for a leading client in Dubai. The role is contract‑based for an initial 15‑month period, renewable, and sits within the Cost Engineering function reporting to the Head of Cost Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver commercial and quantity surveying support to project teams, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Review and assess contractor claims, variations and change requests with proper contractual evaluation.
• Prepare project estimates, cost assessments and support cost planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain cost databases to improve estimating and project prioritisation.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Produce performance reports covering budgets, costs, timelines and variations.
• Assist in the selection and commercial evaluation of subcontractors and service providers.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in quantity surveying within the UAE/Middle East construction sector.
• Experience in post‑contract QS, contractor claims, variations, contract administration, cost control and forecasting.
• Background in fit‑out, consultancy or client‑side environments is highly advantageous.
