Senior Quantity Surveyor Pre-Contract Buildings

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Dubai team and support newly awarded projects across hospitality, residential, building and infrastructure sectors in the UAE. The role focuses on pre‑contract activities, cost control and valuation of large‑scale works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage pre‑contract cost estimates, re‑measurements and valuations for site‑wide works.
• Control costs, monitor variations and change orders, and validate WIR/MIR processes.
• Collaborate with consultants and clients on government and major UAE programmes.
• Produce accurate measurement reports using CostX, Planswift and MS Excel.
• Support project teams in fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years on government or major UAE projects.
• Minimum 4 years of consultant or client‑side experience.
• Strong English technical writing and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QS software such as CostX or similar.
• Experience using Planswift and advanced MS Excel for measurement and reporting.
• Solid commercial and contractual knowledge, especially regarding variations and change workflows.
