Senior Reconciliation Officer

About the role

Finera is looking for a Senior Reconciliation Officer to join its Finance team in Dubai. You will lead daily reconciliation of payment transactions across multiple gateways, processors and internal accounting systems, ensuring financial accuracy and operational integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily 3‑way reconciliations between payment gateway data, processor reports and the internal ledger.
• Validate transaction volumes, statuses and settlement values across all sources.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as declined transactions, refunds, chargebacks, and fee adjustments.
• Collaborate with Finance, Business Intelligence, Treasury and Operations to improve reconciliation frameworks and drive automation.
• Prepare regular reconciliation reports and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in reconciliation, payments operations or financial operations, preferably within fintech or payment acquiring.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and data‑reconciliation techniques.
• Experience with processor transaction reports and gateway data.
• Familiarity with accounting platforms such as Xero and Netsuite.
• Knowledge of data‑visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
• Exposure to API‑based reconciliation automation.
