Senior Reconciliation Officer

About the role

Finera is looking for a Senior Reconciliation Officer to join its Finance team in Dubai. The role will oversee reconciliation of payment transactions, processor statements and internal financial records, ensuring accuracy and transparency across the settlement flow.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of payment transactions across gateways, processor reports and internal accounting systems.
• Review and reconcile processor statements, validating fees, MDR, crypto or FX conversion charges and net settlement amounts.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, maintain audit trails and support audit and regulatory reporting.
• Produce daily and monthly reconciliation reports, develop exception reporting and work with BI teams on automated dashboards.
• Identify process‑improvement and automation opportunities, supporting implementation of reconciliation tools.
• Collaborate with payment processors, banking partners, merchants and internal Finance, Treasury, Operations and BI teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in reconciliation, payments operations or financial operations, preferably in fintech or payment acquiring.
• Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills with high attention to financial accuracy.
• Ability to manage complex reconciliation environments with multiple data sources.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / data reconciliation skills.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero and Netsuite.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
• API‑based reconciliation automation experience.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency transaction reconciliation (nice to have).
