Senior Resident Engineer – Highrise Projects

About the role

Egis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer to lead on‑site engineering activities for a large‑scale high‑rise construction project in Dubai. You will be a key member of the building construction management team, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on‑site.
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain permits and approvals.
• Implement and maintain robust safety protocols and optimize construction processes for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 20 years total experience, including at least 10 years as Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer on high‑rise projects.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred; PMP certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety regulations.
• In‑depth understanding of UAE construction standards, local building codes, and Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
