Senior Risk Engineer – Heavy Industries (UAE)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on, technically‑minded Senior Risk Engineer with a strong heavy‑industries engineering background to deliver value‑adding risk consulting for mining and industrial clients across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑value consulting engagements that move beyond transactional surveys to strategic, risk‑informed solutions.
• Design and deliver risk and underwriting surveys, translating technical findings into commercial recommendations.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand risk consulting services.
• Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and early‑career consultants, creating scalable processes and knowledge assets.
• Collaborate with broking, strategy, and global heavy‑industries teams to co‑sell services and ensure seamless delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in heavy‑industries or mining engineering and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to lead consulting projects and influence client conversations toward value‑adding outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in translating technical risk findings into business recommendations.
• Demonstrated leadership in developing teams and standardising consulting methodologies.
