Senior Rolling Stock Engineer

About the role

Sener is seeking a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer to lead technical activities for complex rail and metro projects in the United Arab Emirates. The role provides technical leadership across design, engineering coordination, installation and delivery of rolling stock systems, working closely with other railway disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate rolling stock engineering from concept through delivery.
• Review designs, specifications, calculations and supplier documentation for compliance.
• Manage interfaces with traction power, signalling, telecommunications, SCADA, track, civil and MEP systems.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and integration activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, workshops and design assurance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Railway Engineering or a related field.
• 12–15 years of experience in rail systems and rolling stock engineering.
• Proven ability to review technical proposals and coordinate system interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of railway standards and operational requirements.
• Experience on large‑scale metro or rail projects, preferably in the GCC.
