Senior Service Engineer - Telecom

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Senior Service Engineer specialized in telecom to lead SLA programs, retrofit upgrades, extensions and modifications of control and protection systems for medium to high‑complexity projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Execute SLA programmes and manage site activities efficiently, cost‑effectively and safely.
• Coordinate retrofit, upgrade and extension works on telecom equipment.
• Represent the Service Engineering function in project and design review meetings.
• Prepare work plans, cost estimates and ensure on‑time delivery of projects.
• Support Project Managers with claims, scope changes and risk assessments.
• Coach associate engineers and ensure compliance with safety and contractual requirements.
• Deliver customer acceptance certification and act as the lead for Service Engineering on projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a telecom engineer working with PDH, SDH, Ethernet and MPLS‑TP technologies.
• Ability to interpret client specifications and propose technical solutions.
• Strong presentation and training skills for internal and external audiences.
• Experience in creating as‑built documentation and supporting continuous improvement.
• Capability to manage external vendors and coordinate permit work.
