Senior Structural Engineer - Construction Bridges And Underpass

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the supervision of bridge and underpass construction projects in Dubai. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer and a multidisciplinary construction supervision team to ensure high‑quality delivery of structural works.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of bridges, viaducts and associated items.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and related correspondence, preparing replies for the Resident Engineer.
• Liaise with Parsons design engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain daily diaries and inspection reports, and coordinate scheduling and resource application with contractor engineers.
• Direct, assist and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors.
• Chair meetings with service authorities, contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure safety goals are met and oversee implementation of safety procedures on site.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and support health‑and‑safety activities.
• Issue site instructions for utilities works and verify work progress against programme.
• Ensure completeness of as‑built drawings and manage hand‑over of structural works to service authorities.

Required profile

• Senior Structural Engineer with proven experience in bridge and underpass construction.
• Ability to supervise construction activities and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of reviewing shop drawings, design proposals and method statements.
• Experience in preparing progress reports and maintaining accurate project records.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and ability to enforce site safety standards.
