Senior Workshop Manager - Classic Car

About the role

Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Workshop Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a classic car workshop. The role involves overseeing repairs, restorations, and maintenance of vintage vehicles while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations, including planning and monitoring vehicle repairs, servicing, and restoration projects.
• Supervise, coordinate, and support mechanics, technicians, and workshop staff, allocating jobs based on skills and workload.
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and restoration requirements and ensure work meets agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare and review job estimates, parts requirements, and workshop schedules, coordinating spare parts and tool availability.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles, repairs, parts, and workshop activities while upholding cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a classic car workshop manager, senior mechanic, or similar senior automotive role.
• Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, mechanical or automotive engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with classic, vintage, or collectible cars and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical automotive systems.
• Previous experience supervising or managing a workshop team with strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and attention‑to‑detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
