Electrical Engineer – Automation

About the role

Our client, a leading provider of commercial kitchen equipment, is looking for an Electrical Engineer – Automation to design and develop control systems for refrigeration and related equipment in Ras Al Khaimah. The role combines electrical design, PLC/HMI programming and hands‑on testing of commercial refrigeration installations.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels, wiring diagrams, schematics and cable routing using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop, write, modify and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, primarily on Schneider Electric platforms.
• Integrate sensors, VFDs, relays and other instrumentation into control systems.
• Support testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis and performance verification of refrigeration and ventilation equipment.
• Coordinate with mechanical, production and project teams to ensure proper system integration and compliance with standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, automation and control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric PLCs; exposure to Siemens and Allen‑Bradley is a plus.

Required skills
