Service Advisor

About the role

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory is seeking a Service Advisor to deliver high‑quality after‑sales support for vehicle owners. You will act as the primary liaison between customers and the workshop, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and professional advice throughout the service process.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, capture vehicle concerns and service requirements.
• Prepare and complete job cards with precise customer and vehicle information.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Foreman to define the scope of work and obtain customer approval.
• Assess warranty eligibility versus customer‑pay repairs and secure prior approvals.
• Review service history to identify recurring issues and recommend appropriate maintenance.
• Provide customers with clear advice on vehicle performance and condition.
• Collaborate with the Customer Relations Representative to resolve complaints.
• Maintain accurate records in the service management system.
• Support the workshop in meeting operational and customer‑service targets.
• Communicate timely updates on service status to customers.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Service Advisor or similar automotive after‑sales role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of automotive servicing, maintenance and repair processes.
• Proven ability to prepare job cards and manage warranty procedures.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and complaint‑handling skills.
