Simulator Technician II – Floater (UAE)

About the role

Join CAE Defence & Security as a Simulator Technician II (Floater) and provide technical support for state‑of‑the‑art naval and air simulators across multiple sites in the UAE. The position offers a dynamic, on‑site environment with frequent travel and the chance to work on a variety of simulator platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on simulators and associated systems.
• Diagnose and resolve routine and complex technical problems.
• Record all activities in the maintenance management system and track parts logistics.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑training checks, visual alignments, and Qualification Test Guide (QTG) evaluations.
• Assist with hardware modifications, refurbishments, and compliance with CAE quality and safety standards.
• Provide customer service support and ensure timely response to client needs.
• Train junior technicians on basic skills and complete designated training programs.
• Handle housekeeping, administrative tasks, and support the technical services group as required.

Required profile

• 2‑year technical degree or equivalent training.
• Minimum 3 years of direct simulator maintenance experience.
• Ability to work nights away from home for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development.
