Site Architect – Buildings Experience

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Site Architect to lead the design development of RTA infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will work on roads, interchanges, utilities, drainage, structures and related works, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development for RTA projects from concept through IFC stage.
• Review, coordinate and approve multidisciplinary design deliverables.
• Ensure designs meet RTA manuals, Dubai Authority requirements and international standards.
• Manage design interfaces to avoid clashes between roadworks, utilities and structures.
• Respond to RTA design review comments and support authority submissions, NOCs and permits.
• Participate in coordination meetings, technical workshops and value‑engineering sessions.
• Identify design risks and propose cost‑effective, constructible solutions.
• Provide technical support during tender stage and assist construction teams with RFIs and design changes.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in infrastructure design, preferably with RTA or similar authorities.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Authority regulations (DM, DEWA, Etisalat, Du).
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate complex projects.

Required skills

• Technical competence in design calculations, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Experience with road safety audits and temporary traffic management design.
