Software Developer / Engineering Automation Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer specialized in engineering automation to create plugins, tools, and AI‑assisted workflows that bridge BIM, CAD and GIS environments. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, BIM and GIS specialists to streamline design and data exchange processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom Revit plugins and add‑ins using the Revit API.
• Create AutoCAD plugins, commands and automation utilities.
• Build integrations with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online using the respective SDKs/APIs.
• Design end‑to‑end workflows linking Revit ↔ AutoCAD ↔ ArcGIS, including data extraction, validation and transformation.
• Automate generation of engineering drawings, models, quantities, BOQs and asset registers.
• Implement coordinate transformation, georeferencing and spatial‑analysis functions.
• Integrate engineering tools with databases, REST APIs and web applications.
• Develop desktop or web interfaces and dashboards for automation tools.
• Support AI‑assisted workflows using computer vision, LLMs or rule‑based engines where applicable.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing plugins for Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of BIM, CAD and GIS data structures and workflows.
• Ability to design and implement automation solutions for repetitive engineering tasks.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, BIM and GIS specialists.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted engineering concepts is a plus.
