Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Our client, a leading international school in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a qualified Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their dedicated team. Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess SEN‑focused lessons in line with the US curriculum.
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
• Collaborate with mainstream teachers, support staff and parents to create individualized education plans.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular feedback.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Required profile

• Valid teaching license from your home country.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, or a PGCE in a relevant subject.
• Experience with the US Core Curriculum is preferred.
• IELTS certification for non‑native English speakers.

• Knowledge of US Core Curriculum standards.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with parents and colleagues.
