Specialist Credit Control

About the role

The Specialist Credit Control is responsible for managing credit limits for the bank’s facilities and guiding the team in daily limit‑encoding and control activities. The role ensures compliance with FAB policies, head‑office procedures, and regulator requirements while delivering high‑quality internal service.

Key responsibilities

• Authorize, process and encode credit limits and maintain accurate records in the bank’s systems.
• Maintain interest rates, commissions, fees and charges in line with approved terms.
• Encode CCIB obligor details from UAE and international branches, adhering to local regulations.
• Prepare loan memos, processing tickets, PPC discounting, settlements and other daily transactions.
• Conduct annual reviews of credit limits in GLCMS and process related memos.
• Handle provisioning memos, customer grade changes, interest suspensions and write‑off entries.
• Issue liability/no‑liability certificates and letters.
• Provide superior internal customer service, respond to queries, escalations and deficiency reports promptly.
• Stay updated on UAE Central Bank regulations and corporate credit guidelines.
• Support Team Leaders in workload distribution, task monitoring and internal stakeholder communication.
• Prepare instruction memos for loan operations and client‑service teams regarding disbursements, repayments, settlements and fee collections.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of credit control processes and banking regulations.
• Ability to ensure compliance with SOPs, SLAs and Delegation of Authority.
• Excellent internal customer relationship management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
