Specialist Credit – Mortgages

About the role

The Specialist Credit – Mortgages role is a core part of the Private Banking Credit team at First Abu Dhabi Bank. You will evaluate mortgage loan applications, assess credit risk, and support UAE branches and DSF in delivering credit facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop credit proposals for mortgage transactions based on client financial information and supporting documents.
• Analyse clients' financial statements, bank statements and credit history to determine creditworthiness.
• Ensure complete and accurate credit documentation and obtain approvals from delegated authorities.
• Manage exception levels, including insufficient or deferred security documents, within defined timelines.
• Prepare and forward timely productivity and audit reports to the reporting manager.
• Adhere to FAB policies, Central Bank regulations, and internal audit requirements.
• Set and track performance goals in discussion with the reporting manager.
• Identify personal training needs and attend relevant development programmes.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Experience in credit analysis, preferably within mortgage lending.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and credit risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements.
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
