Specialist Draughtsman - Harness

About the role

AL TARIQ is looking for an experienced Specialist Draughtsman – Harness to lead the design, development and release of complex electrical harness systems for high‑reliability projects in defence and aerospace. The role combines 3D CAD modelling, product lifecycle management and strict engineering drawing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D electrical harness assemblies using Creo Harness/Cabling, ensuring compliance with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Produce and manage manufacturing documentation such as harness drawings, wire lists, BOMs, installation drawings and technical data packages.
• Control engineering changes, revisions and configurations through Windchill PDM/PLM while adhering to BS8888, ISO standards and company processes.
• Support integration, verification and continuous improvement of harness systems within complex electro‑mechanical platforms.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8‑15 years of electrical harness design and CAD modelling experience, preferably in defence, aerospace or other high‑reliability industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Creo Harness/Cabling and strong experience with Windchill PDM/PLM and configuration management.
