Specialist Engineer – Onshore Construction (Piping)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Specialist Engineer to lead onshore construction and piping activities for a major offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical oversight, constructability review, and on‑site supervision to ensure safe, code‑compliant delivery of piping systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction oversight and execution support for all piping‑related works on offshore facilities, topsides, pipelines and modifications.
• Prepare and review piping construction work packs, method statements, job cards and constructability reviews.
• Interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings, support details and vendor documents.
• Provide technical solutions to site and technical queries and resolve interface issues.
• Supervise piping activities at onshore yards and during offshore mobilization.
• Maintain accurate progress records, deviation logs and change requests; produce daily/weekly reports and mechanical completion dossiers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a similar senior position on major oil & gas offshore projects.
• Proven experience with PMC/EPC environments and familiarity with international codes (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, NORSOK).
• Previous ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work in challenging offshore conditions and extended rotations.
