Specialist - Foreign Operators Affairs

About the role

The Specialist – Foreign Operators Affairs will oversee safety oversight of foreign operators operating at UAE airports, ensuring compliance with SAFA standards and GCAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and define guidelines for SAFA Ramp Check frequency and related follow‑up activities.
• Prepare, conduct and moderate SAFA Ramp Checks to verify compliance and ensure standardized reporting.
• Identify, categorise and report deficiencies, ensuring corrective actions are taken by operators.
• Recommend or apply law‑enforcement provisions when necessary.
• Support aviation‑safety investigations, coordinating operational inputs to determine causes of accidents and incidents.
• Implement corrective actions from internal surveillance programs to align with international safety standards.
• Assist in administering external audits (ICAO, IMS) for the Safety Affairs department.
• Help define safety policies for foreign operators landing in the UAE.
• Promote safety awareness across the UAE civil aviation industry and keep stakeholders informed of regulatory changes.
• Provide advice and share best practices to prevent future safety occurrences.
