Specialist, FXMM Confirmations

About the role

To ensure FX/MM/Islamic product deals (both HNI and non‑HNI) are captured with correct details and settlement instructions, and that counter‑party confirmations match our deal data, enabling error‑free and timely settlement while preventing losses or penalties to the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Follow departmental policies, processes and standard operating procedures to maintain controlled and consistent work.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system sustainability, productivity and cost efficiency.
• Prepare accurate statements and reports in line with department requirements and quality standards.
• Validate and release payments in Murex after confirming status in the Murex Matcher and Finastra confirmation systems.
• Process commercial payments through the Remittance workflow system and monitor related email queues.
• Monitor daily workflow for ECP/CP/CD across NBAD entities and prepare HK FMD entries.
• Handle roll‑over queries with dealers/clients and release related transactions from Murex.
• Send NDF confirmations to clients and ensure agreed amounts are released.
• Clear trade validation and payment queues in Murex and Swift Alliance verification queues at end‑of‑day.
• Support settlement processes for global entities such as NBAD London, Oman, Hong Kong and Cayman.
• Liaise with GM, clients, GMO desks, reconciliation and investigation teams for deal‑related queries.
• Participate in CLS, shift and holiday rotations to maintain business‑as‑usual operations.

Required profile

• University graduate with knowledge of treasury products and accounting.
• Good communication skills.
• 3‑5 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 3 years in treasury functions with progressively increasing responsibilities.
