Specialist Planning Engineer – Project Controls

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Planning Engineer to join its project controls team in Abu Dhabi. The role will support the delivery of complex energy and infrastructure projects by managing planning, scheduling and cost control activities in line with the Project Execution Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain baseline schedules, monitor progress and report performance against targets.
• Perform earned value analysis, cost variance tracking and risk assessments.
• Integrate multiple contractors’ schedules into a consolidated project programme.
• Support change control processes, baseline assessments and contract compliance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting variances and forecasts.
• Coordinate internal and external project reviews and ensure adherence to company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling and cost control within large‑scale engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of earned value management, critical path analysis and risk management.
• Ability to work closely with Project Control Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
