Lifting Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lifting Engineer to lead all lifting, rigging, transportation and heavy‑equipment handling activities on large‑scale Oil & Gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, executing and supervising complex lifts while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lifting execution strategies aligned with project milestones and coordinate multiple lifts across construction fronts.
• Review and approve lifting methodologies, risk assessments and ensure compliance with ADNOC, local and international standards.
• Manage lifting engineers, riggers and specialized crews, monitor competency, certification and equipment maintenance.
• Integrate lifting requirements into overall construction schedules and support constructability reviews.
• Lead safety culture, conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and drive continuous productivity improvements.

Required profile

• 12‑15 years of construction and project execution experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to lifting and rigging.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Appointed Person Certification and advanced lifting & rigging certifications.
• Proven experience on Oil & Gas, EPC, brownfield and greenfield projects, preferably with ADNOC or GCC clients.
