Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

The Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer will lead the engineering, design and technical management of rotating machinery for ADNOC offshore projects. Based in Abu Dhabi with later assignments in Spain, the role covers the full project lifecycle from FEED through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of rotating equipment for offshore oil & gas facilities.
• Prepare, review and approve equipment datasheets, technical specifications, material requisitions and vendor documentation.
• Manage selection and specification of compressors, turbines, pumps, blowers, fans, diesel engines, generators and package equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes (API, ISO, ASME, IEC).
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural and procurement teams.
• Review vendor proposals, conduct technical clarification meetings and support procurement activities.
• Assist with inspection, testing, factory acceptance tests, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, design and constructability reviews and resolve technical issues on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rotating equipment engineering for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and international codes (API, ISO, ASME, IEC).
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage the full project lifecycle.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to handle technical queries during execution.
