Specialist Settlement Services

About the role

The Specialist Settlement Services will oversee daily monitoring and processing of settlement activities across domestic, regional and international markets for a wide range of instruments including equities, mutual funds, fixed income, ETFs and securities lending. The role ensures high‑quality client service delivery in line with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and process settlement transactions for equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, structured funds, ETFs, securities lending and borrowing, and short‑selling.
• Validate client and market instructions, ensure timely matching and settlement across all markets.
• Communicate with clients, counterparties, sub‑custodians, regulators, brokers and issuers to resolve settlement issues.
• Provide first‑level training to new specialists and support colleagues with inquiries.
• Manage cash flows to facilitate smooth settlements and mitigate financial, operational and reputational risk.
• Participate in projects such as system upgrades, process enhancements and off‑hour testing.
• Support implementation of new client SLAs, product launches and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Experience handling complex settlement transactions across local, regional and international markets.
• Familiarity with a broad range of financial instruments and market conventions.
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality control procedures.
