Sr. Drilling Performance Engineer

About the role

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Drilling Performance Engineer to provide operational and engineering support that drives drilling excellence. You will work closely with senior drilling engineers to monitor, analyse and optimise well‑construction activities, ensuring safe and efficient offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and engineering support to enhance drilling performance through continuous monitoring and optimisation.
• Collaborate with senior drilling engineers on well planning and performance reviews to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Conduct regular rig visits, engage with field personnel, and gather insights on challenges and optimisation potential.
• Develop, track and report key drilling performance indicators (KPIs).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• IWCF Level 4 certification.
• 12‑15 years of drilling, completion and work‑over experience, including at least 5 years on offshore rigs.
• Proven experience with highly deviated exploratory and development wells in sandstone reservoirs, preferably as a performance engineer with real‑time monitoring responsibilities.
• Strong analytical mindset, independent judgment and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
