Staff Physician – Preventive Medicine

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Staff Physician (Consultant) in Preventive Medicine to join our medical staff. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, lead preventive health initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within our academic medical center.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide preventive medicine care to patients.
• Prescribe medication, therapy, and specialized treatments to prevent or treat illness.
• Analyze medical records, reports, and test results to diagnose conditions.
• Gather comprehensive patient histories and discuss diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Perform surgical procedures and operations when appropriate.
• Document patient encounters and coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure high‑quality patient care.
• Participate in administrative duties such as committees, task forces, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to ethical, regulatory, and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Tier 1 qualification (e.g., American Board of Medical Specialties, UK CCT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 candidates; 5 years for Tier 2 candidates.
• Valid medical license/registration in home country or last place of employment.
• Maintenance of Certification compliance where applicable.
• Proven ability to manage a healthcare team.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken); Arabic proficiency preferred.
