Stakeholder Engineer

About the role

The Stakeholder Engineer will lead the identification, engagement and ongoing management of all key project stakeholders for Bilfinger’s industrial projects in the Middle East. Working closely with the Project Manager and internal teams, you will ensure clear communication, alignment and proactive handling of stakeholder‑related risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and map key stakeholders including clients, government authorities, partners, consultants, contractors and community representatives.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder management plans and communication strategies.
• Coordinate with external parties and internal departments to obtain timely approvals and keep projects on schedule.
• Assess, monitor and mitigate stakeholder‑related risks while highlighting potential opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress updates and reports to clients and internal management.
• Organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops and coordination sessions.
• Maintain positive working relationships to support successful project delivery.
• Support compliance with legal, financial, regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
• Assist project teams in resolving stakeholder issues and conflicts promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stakeholder management or project coordination within industrial, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of legal, regulatory and corporate governance aspects relevant to project delivery.
