Static Equipment Specialist – Upstream Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Static Equipment Specialist to join a major upstream PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, ensuring static equipment designs meet ADNOC standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for engineering and design of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, storage tanks, separators, pig launchers/receivers, air coolers and fired heaters.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables including datasheets, specifications, calculations, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations and vendor documents.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC requirements, international codes and project specifications.
• Review vendor packages, resolve technical queries and monitor deviations.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, design, model, constructability and technical workshops.
• Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation and pipeline disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Support procurement, fabrication, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Resolve engineering issues during EPC execution and recommend practical solutions.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify technical risks and ensure compliance with quality and HSE regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Professional Engineering registration is a plus).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Proven experience on PMC, engineering consultancy or EPC projects.
• Hands‑on experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and upstream oil & gas projects.
• Experience across Front‑End Engineering, FEED, detailed engineering and EPC phases.
• Previous work on ADNOC or other major Middle‑East operator projects is highly preferred.
