Category Manager – Assets and Spare Parts

About the role

The Category Manager – Assets & Spare Parts will develop and implement sourcing strategies for capital equipment, machinery, maintenance materials and spare parts, ensuring asset availability and operational efficiency across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of capital equipment, production machinery, engineering assets and maintenance materials, leading sourcing activities for CAPEX projects.
• Oversee OEM and non‑OEM spare parts sourcing, optimise inventory levels and collaborate with engineering, maintenance and production to forecast demand.
• Lead commercial negotiations, conduct spend analysis, TCO assessments and cost‑benchmarking to secure value‑for‑money contracts.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, develop strategic relationships and drive continuous improvement.
• Apply lifecycle costing principles, support asset replacement planning and provide commercial analysis for investment decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8–10 years of procurement, strategic sourcing or category management experience, with at least 3–5 years in a large industrial or multinational environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Finance or related field; professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, etc.) highly desirable.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management and cost‑optimization initiatives.
