Steel Fitter

About the role

Al Mulla Group is looking for a skilled Steel Fitter to join its construction team on large‑scale industrial and commercial projects in Fujairah. You will be responsible for assembling, aligning, and installing structural steel components while adhering to engineering specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow structural drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to position steel members accurately.
• Assemble, align, and secure beams, columns, and other components using hand tools, hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment.
• Perform precise welding, bolting, and fastening operations to ensure structural integrity.
• Conduct pre‑installation inspections and verify measurements for alignment and fit tolerance.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to coordinate installation sequences and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain a safe and clean worksite by following OSHA and company safety protocols, including PPE usage.
• Report equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, or safety hazards to project management.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling temporary supports and scaffolding as required.
• Contribute to daily progress reporting and documentation of installation activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience as a steel fitter or structural steel installer in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven ability to read and interpret structural drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or equivalent experience with arc, MIG, and TIG welding processes.
• Valid certification in rigging, crane operation, or hoisting preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and construction site safety practices.
