Steward (Hotel)

About the role

The Steward will support the Food & Beverage operations at EDITION Hotel in Dubai by ensuring all kitchen and service areas are clean, sanitized, and well‑maintained. This full‑time, on‑site position is essential for delivering the high standards of hygiene and service expected by guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and organize kitchen tools, knives, tables, and storage areas using appropriate chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored properly.
• Use the three‑compartment sink to clean dishes, inspect and re‑wash items as needed.
• Break down and clean bus tubs, empty trashcans, and manage dumpster areas.
• Mop and clean all assigned department floors, handle glass disposal, and sort recyclables.
• Follow company safety, security and sanitation policies, report maintenance issues and complete required training.
• Assist team members, communicate professionally and uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting and stooping.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment and follow detailed procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and proper use of a three‑compartment sink.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
