Steward - Kitchen and Dining Cleaning

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Steward in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. The Steward keeps the kitchen and dining facilities clean, organized and efficient, so that guests and staff enjoy a clean, safe and well-organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment by hand and with machines, following food safety standards
• Clean kitchen facilities, dining areas, pantries and all food service zones, including equipment and circulation areas
• Collect, sort and organize waste for recycling and proper disposal according to protocols and environmental guidelines
• Apply and maintain food safety best practices under UAE regulations and organizational standards
• Store kitchen materials, utensils and equipment properly and set up and break down dining areas
• Follow directives on selective waste collection and efficient water and energy use
• Take part in mandatory training and professional development, and support other departments during peak periods and special events

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, carry and move items regularly
• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and reliability with punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently and collaboratively
• Flexibility with scheduling, including possible weekend and evening shifts
• Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation principles

Preferred qualifications

• One year of experience as a steward, kitchen support or food service worker
• Food safety or sanitation certification
• Experience in a hospitality or hotel environment and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of waste management and recycling, and experience in a multicultural workplace
