Stewarding Shift Leader

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and self‑motivated Stewarding Shift Leader to join our Food & Beverage team at Al Bandar Rotana & Al Bandar Arjaan by Rotana in Dubai. The role involves leading the stewarding department to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across all food processing areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all stewarding staff during the shift, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Monitor daily consumption of stewarding chemicals and maintain proper stock levels.
• Oversee sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, service areas and emergency exits.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify that machinery and kitchen equipment are correctly cleaned.
• Control and document outgoing equipment and ensure its proper return.
• Participate in monthly and annual inventory counts and prepare payroll‑related documents for the Department Head.
• Attend Food & Beverage department meetings and hold a monthly briefing with stewarding team members to promote open communication.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar stewarding or kitchen sanitation role.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure with attention to detail.
• Hands‑on, hardworking and adaptable attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Experience with chemical handling and inventory control.
• Ability to supervise and train a team.
