Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor directs and assists stewards to ensure efficient clean‑up operations, maintains proper water temperature and chemical levels, and supports banquet and kitchen activities.

Key responsibilities

• Direct stewards, monitor cleaning processes, and document water temperature and chemical levels.
• Assist with banquet plate‑ups, transport stock, and ensure adequate supplies for buffet service.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Support kitchen staff by providing needed items and returning cleaned items to proper locations.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.
• Enforce company safety, security, uniform standards, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related stewarding experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines and related cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
