Student Recruitment Officer – Higher Education

About the role

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a highly efficient and professional Student Recruitment Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate student recruitment activities while providing advice, guidance, and assistance regarding the application and documentation processes for admission.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome prospective and newly admitted students and respond professionally to inquiries.
• Conduct university tours and represent AUE at education and career exhibitions locally and internationally.
• Deliver presentations for prospective students, parents, schools, and other stakeholders across the UAE and the Middle East.
• Process new student application files, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Organise orientation programs and coordinate the university calendar of recruitment and student‑related events.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records, databases and support onboarding (housing, visa, tuition payment).
• Build and maintain relationships with students, parents, schools and external partners to achieve enrollment targets.
• Identify and secure funding and cultivate donor relationships in line with university advancement plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Media and Communication, or a related field.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic.
• 3‑5 years of student recruitment and enrollment experience in a university or higher‑education institution.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, schools and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, presentation and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
