Submission & Resubmission Officer – Insurance Claims

About the role

The Submission & Resubmission Officer is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end process of insurance claims for patients at Royal Khalifa City Hospital. The role ensures accurate filing, tracking and timely resubmission of rejected claims while keeping patients informed of their claim status.

Key responsibilities

• File, track and audit medical insurance claims to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify rejected claims, coordinate with doctors for necessary justifications and resubmit them within stipulated timelines.
• Submit claims using correct codes and formats in line with price lists and insurance provider manuals.
• Inform Billing Officers of claim rejections and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain compliance with occupational safety and health (OSH) and infection‑control policies, report hazards and assist in risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a medical or paramedical field (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance claims management or adjudication.
• Experience with medical coding is preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
