Superintendent – Construction (Structural)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Construction Superintendent with a structural focus to lead on‑site activities, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safe, efficient delivery of civil works. The role reports to the Construction Manager/Engineer and works within a 90‑day look‑ahead schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct subcontractor teams, monitoring labour and equipment utilisation for efficiency.
• Maintain and update the 90‑day look‑ahead schedule, providing guidance to multi‑discipline site supervision.
• Assist subcontractors in selecting optimal execution methods and verify daily timesheets on reimbursable contracts.
• Identify and communicate scope changes to the Subcontracts Manager before implementation.
• Support the Construction Manager/Engineer in technical decision‑making.
• Take ownership of safety: review HSSE plans, conduct toolbox talks, inspect housekeeping, and promote near‑miss reporting.
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Plans (QCP) are in place and that work meets quality standards on first pass.
• Monitor subcontractor trade personnel skill levels and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil/structural construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contract types (reimbursable, unit rates) and scope management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑discipline teams and enforce HSSE standards.
• Experience with daily progress monitoring and timesheet verification.
