Superintendent – Telecom Commissioning

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead telecom commissioning activities on a large‑scale EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the commissioning of sales gas and condensate facilities, ensuring compliance with licensor and vendor procedures, and delivering the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub‑contractors within the assigned area.
• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to monitor commissioning activities against prescribed procedures.
• Review and verify pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures, manuals and mechanical completion certificates.
• Participate in commissioning meetings, troubleshoot obstacles and verify readiness for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Monitor and approve punch‑list closure, ensuring handover complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of commissioning/operation‑readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior role on oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with exposure to sour‑gas, hydrogen production or hydro‑desulfurization facilities.

Required skills

• Commissioning of sour‑gas, hydrogen and hydro‑desulfurization plants.
• Mechanical completion verification and punch‑list management.
