Supervisor - Construction (Structural)

About the role

The Supervisor – Construction (Structural) will lead on‑site construction activities across mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing disciplines. You will ensure work is performed safely, to quality standards and in line with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction crews and subcontractors for all structural related trades.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor daily progress, prepare reports on construction status and manpower forecasts.
• Implement project procedures, QinC initiatives and strive for “right first time” inspections with minimal punch‑list items.
• Alert the Construction Manager or Superintendent of any non‑compliant work.
• Attend subcontractor cost awareness sessions and verify material hand‑over compliance.
• Provide technical solutions to subcontractor issues and act as a mentor for less experienced staff.
• Record site feedback, manage site instructions and ensure timely closure.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction activities in structural, mechanical and related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of HSE practices and ability to lead safety meetings.
• Excellent communication skills for coaching staff and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Ability to prepare accurate progress reports and flag contract non‑conformities.
• Familiarity with survey equipment and civil works such as earthworks, concrete, steel and road construction.
