System Engineer – Windows Server & Virtualisation

About the role

In this role you will administer Windows Server and virtualisation environments for a leading government entity in Sharjah. You will be responsible for Active Directory, Hyper‑V, VMware, RDS, IIS and related services, as well as backup, restore and disaster‑recovery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and update professional software, managing procurement procedures.
• Perform backups, apply OS updates, patches and configuration changes following approved procedures.
• Manage user accounts, password resets and electronic signature data.
• Administer Windows Server OS, including Active Directory, Exchange Server, and core services.
• Provide technical support for software faults and evaluate new software offers.
• Plan and execute server and device upgrades, and maintain system documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in System Administration, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper‑V, VMware and related technologies.
• Willingness to work shifts or on‑call as required.
